Who operates NeighborKeep

NeighborKeep is operated by Wisener Ventures LLC. This policy describes information handled by the early-access web app. For privacy, access, correction, deletion, or security questions, contact christopher.wisener@wisenerventures.com. If someone has recorded information about you, you may contact us even if you do not have an account.

Waitlist and account approval

We collect your name, email, consent to access updates, request date, and approval status. Wisener Ventures LLC reviews these in its private admin hub. Use the email associated with your verified email and password sign-in. A daily hashed network identifier limits abusive submissions and is removed as newer days are processed. Waitlist details are retained while your request or account remains active; contact us to withdraw or request deletion. Joining does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing. A confirmation email is sent when you join the beta waitlist. Receipt and retry records help prevent duplicate messages. Approval notifications are still sent personally in this release.

Information the app handles

Hosting and connection providers also handle technical information needed to deliver and secure the service, which can include IP addresses, request information, and operational logs under their own policies.

Why information is used

Information is processed to display and organize your relationships, save your history and preferences, synchronize authorized contacts, enforce sharing permissions, troubleshoot failures, and support the service. This version contains no advertising network or third-party behavioral analytics integration in the application code. Wisener Ventures LLC does not sell your contact records or use them for targeted advertising.

Who can access information

The marketing page and waitlist are public. App access requires verified email and password sign-in and approval by Wisener Ventures LLC. Approval creates access to your own workspace; it does not grant access to another person's contacts. Within the app, Personal records are restricted to their owner. Pastoral records can be shared with a team or restricted to the owner or selected members. Relationship groups such as Family or Congregation do not themselves grant access.

An owner can explicitly share a reviewed copy of an individual prayer or note while keeping its source profile and other history private. The reviewed copy includes only the text and optional name the owner chooses to share. Removing in-app access does not recall screenshots, exports, or copies someone already received.

Wisener Ventures LLC and service providers may need access to operate, maintain, secure, or support the service. “Only me” describes access by other app users; it does not mean end-to-end encryption or that authorized infrastructure administrators can never access stored data. Information may also be disclosed when legally required or necessary to address misuse or protect rights and safety.

Hosting and connections

NeighborKeep runs on Cloudflare, with dedicated database and private file storage. NeighborKeep manages email-and-password accounts using Better Auth. Resend delivers verification and password-reset messages when email delivery is configured. Apple processes requests when you connect iCloud. These providers have their own privacy terms: Cloudflare, Apple, and Resend. We do not promise that processing is confined to a particular country.

Apple sync brings supported contact fields and photographs into NeighborKeep. This version does not write changes back to iCloud and does not import Apple contact notes. Sync checks occur while the app is open; it is not an always-running background connection. Disconnecting removes the saved connection credentials but leaves already imported contacts and history. You can also revoke the app-specific password through Apple.

Cookies, browser storage, and security

NeighborKeep uses secure, HTTP-only session cookies. NeighborKeep stores your appearance choice in browser local storage. Its service worker does not cache care records or authenticated responses for offline use. Server responses for records and photos request that browsers not cache them. Exports you download are files on your device and need your protection.

Access checks run on the server, contact photos require authorization, and saved Apple connection credentials are encrypted. These measures reduce risk; no service can guarantee absolute security. NeighborKeep does not claim end-to-end encryption or HIPAA certification.

Retention, export, and deletion

Records remain available until removed through an applicable process. Archiving hides a record from ordinary views; it is not permanent deletion. Disconnecting Apple does not delete imported records. You can export accessible records in Settings. The complete backup includes your owned records, archived records, supported contact photos, preferences, and reviewed sharing copies. The records-only option excludes photos. Passwords, Apple connection credentials, team membership, and notification subscriptions are not exported. Backup files are not encrypted; store them securely. Restore adds missing records privately without overwriting existing records; reviewed copies return as private notes, not active shares.

For permanent deletion, account closure, correction, or help with someone else's record about you, contact christopher.wisener@wisenerventures.com. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting. Some information may need to remain for legal obligations, dispute handling, or security; provider backups and logs may persist under provider retention practices. We do not currently promise a fixed deletion deadline or backup-retention period.

Information about other people and children

Only record information you have a legitimate reason and authority to keep. Use the minimum detail needed, respect the person's preferences, and avoid sensitive details in widely shared entries. NeighborKeep is intended for adult account holders and is not directed to children under 13. Adults may record appropriate family or pastoral information about minors only with the authority required for their circumstances. Report concerns about a child's information to the contact above.

Changes and requests

We will update the date on this page when the policy changes and provide an appropriate notice for material changes. A new policy does not retroactively authorize an unrelated new use of existing information. Applicable privacy rights depend on your location and circumstances; contact us to make a request or ask how it will be handled.
